Thanks for that link. That looks like a good battery for me. When I need to replace a battery in one of my bikes I will get one of these. With what Doc said about long term storage I don't have to worry about that as there is no down time here in Arizona.

I know many Off Roaders in my group (And we are apt to do some winching) have said that Battery (Odyssey) does better than Optima. A lot of people had problems with the Optima and went to Odyssey and were happy with it. Doc is right about the storage, You'll need a charger that is specifically designed to maintain a Gel cell. Now a days many sold even the tenders that can do Gels, AGM and Wet too. Some have a switch, be sure it's in the right spot. For long storage though, (Over a month) every battery should be on a charger that maintains charge, not one that charges all the time but one that keeps the voltage at a certain level and cycles on and off,

I'd buy that battery, and use the extra 15/16th of an inch room to organize my wires.

Re:2-year old battery? (27 months in AZ heat) 2 Weeks, 6 Days ago
I'm not sure if I have a battery problem or its just cold weaher and not driving daily.I just removed my battery and checked it out of the bike and it read 12.4 Volts so put it on the trickle charger. I don't know for sure what it should be just sitting there. When Idon't ride it for a few days or a week it won't fire up, gradualing getting weaker, then I boost it.Once its running no problem, go 10 miles ad stop for a coffee and it starts up pretty good. So I just don't know whats up. I don't know how old the battery is, the bike is a 00R*Silverado and I have running light that I turn off when starting, same thing.
So 2 questions: What should the voltage be not running? And what should it be running(even with passing lights).
The temp here has been from 29F to 45F so maybe its just the cold and dampness.
Any info would be appreciated.

My bike is an 05 and we had a small cold front blow thru, went to take off and nothing. Not bad for a 4 year old battery.
already replaced with a OEM.
