please help 2 Years, 3 Months ago  
Where is the pickup coil and how can I test it. Im about to burn my bike this thing is driving me crazy

I woud advise you to get a service manual.

The pickup coil is in the left side transmission cover. You can see the cable for it exiting the rear of the cover.

Whats going on? Pickup coil is behind the crankcase cover, you can see the wire coming out from the back, just in front of the front pulley cover. In 5yrs, I've only heard of 1 going bad.
