Re:MotoBatt? 2 Years, 2 Months ago
Some colleagues and I did some motorcycle battery testing earlier this summer (2009).

We included five different motorcycle batteries in the test including the MotoBatt.

I do not have Road Star yet, but I have test driven several recently. My wife is looking for a bike and she likes the style. That is how I stumbled onto this thread.

I am not certain what size battery the Road Star needs, but here is the link to the tests:

I hope it gives you some useful info about a number of different batteries.

Bug Dr thanks for the info. I love my MotoBat it cranks mine right over no problem. If you get ya R* you will love it. It is best bike for the price there is. I have had 12 bikes it is by far the best.

Re:MotoBatt? 2 Years, 2 Months ago
Thanks for the welcome. I really need to find a bike she likes. I like riding with her on back, but she got her license and I think she will have more fun and go with me more often if she has her own bike.

She likes the R* a lot, but she also likes my daughter's Ninja... so she needs to decide.

I think she will like a cruiser better in the long run. But she takes off on the Ninja 2-3 times a week when it is around here on the 45 mile commute up the road.

The MotoBatt is a good strong battery. We could not kill it dead with a lot of brutal extended drops to zero volts. None of the batteries were "like new" at the end of the tests and one was basically of little use after the tests. (Unfortunately, that is the same one I bought earlier and have had in my bike!)

Ride safe. If the wife decides on the R* I am certain I will be around here a lot. I do all my own work including tire changes, so I am certain I will need board members' advice on a lot of stuff if she decides to go with one.

Thanks.
