Headlight question 2 Years, 2 Months ago

I just noticed that headlight in my '02 is out. High beam works, but no low beam.

I read the "Replacing standard headlight" thread from a little over a year ago and have some questions.

1. Is the Sylvania Silver Star and direct swap?
2. Is that bulb typically available in Auto stores?
3. Any particular trick to taking the headlight apart or getting it back together?
4. What is HID????

1. yes 2. yes, wally world 2. the motorcycle one is a single lamp package , bout 20 bucks 3. no, easy. 2 screws, one on each side of bucket 4. High intensity discharge
