Climax Question (No, seriously)... 1 Year, 11 Months ago
Anybody have experience with these hidden Climax Controls?

Link to their product page

Doesn't get much cleaner. Clutch, brake, throttle and wiring are all inside...

They're a bundle, though...

Those are very, very nice.
But are you going to convert over to a hydraulic clutch? I didn't see an option for a cable clutch.

Funny you should ask...

One of two things would happen.
1. I have a full (spare) clutch assembly ready to go to EFM this week for the Auto Clutch conversion. So, I don't really need a clutch lever.
2. But, if I wanted to retain it, they make an in-line actuator that allows the hydraulic clutch to pull a cable.

Don't really know which direction yet, though.

You've already got all the bases covered it sounds like. Since you're going to an auto clutch anyways, I'd do away with the twist clutch. One less cable to clutter up the side of the bike.

Agreed. I wonder if you could fill it with brake fluid and push the rear brake with it...

Then, with a jockey shift, there wouldn't be any pedals either...

Forget the jockey shift. Hook an air shifter into two of the buttons on the controls, and you'll be able to ride the thing with only your hands. No feet required anymore.

LOL!

Or, I wonder if the hydraulic actuator could actually pull a modified shift lever to change the gears from 2-5?

Whew! Too many options, my head is spinning. Weee...
