AIS on an 08 7 Months, 2 Weeks ago
Where is the electrical connection at? so i can unplug it to see if that will stop the decel pop. If it does then i will take the system off after i find the kit to do so. but for now i would like to just disable it by removing the power to it.

Thanks

Lye:

Left hand side, upper area below the tank, if I remember correctly. Black plug.

Any year kit should work. You just throw away the rubber vacuum plug.

On my sapphire blue 08, it was on the left hand side, but not near the tank, about 7 inches up from the bottom, and a baby blue color.

Lye, I'm not so sure that just un-pluging the AIS electrical connection on your 08 will stop the Decel Popping, {If it only were that easy}

Didn't know the FI AIS had a electric plug. Good to know but think plugging the lines would be in order too.

Just get the block off plates and unplug everything. My 09 was popping even with stock exhaust.

I installed Yamaha speedstar long drag pipes on my 08 and blocking it off cured the problem for me. Ride safe
