Fuel supply? 7 Months ago
I have switched fuel tanks and everything is hooked up. I hit the starter and it just continues to cycle. Not sure I am getting fuel. Fuel pump engages and tickes when key is turned. Petcock is open, but will not start. Suggestions?

Thanks!!!

Is the petcock turned in the "on" position? Is there gas in the tank? Plugged fuel screen in the tank? Good luck.

I take it you got it to turn over OK.

Does fuel come out of the petcock. The fuel pump should tick when the key is turned on then stop when the fuel line is pressurized.

Pull the fuel line off the carb, turn the key, the pump should start running.

Fuel supply is turned on at petcock. My next move is to make sure I am getting fuel to the carb. Fuel pump ticks when the key is turned and then stops. Guessing the fuel line has proper pressure.

If you think it is a fuel supply problem take the air cleaner off and twist the throttle . You should see fuel squirting from the accel pump. If it is squirting fuel pull the plugs and see if you have spark, or if they are fuel or carbon fouled.

If all else turns out ok pull the fuel line where it enter's the carb and check the filter in the carb. You can pull it out as you don't really need it with the other ones.
