Aftermarket Warrior Starter Relay 2 Years, 5 Months ago
Was going to upgrade to a Ultima Thunder Fire HO Starter, but also wanted to upgrade to a warrior starter relay and found this aftermarket one on ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Starter-Solenoid-Relay-Yamaha-XV17-ROADSTAR-WARRIOR-NEW-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem4150c5b6a3QQitemZ280528008867QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

Has anyone used one of these before and are they the same as the warrior starter relay. Just wanted to ask first before I pull the trigger.

Also does anyone know a place online I can purchase a Warrior starter relay for a good price.

I bought mine from a dealer. The one on e-bay looks just like the OEM one just make sure you put the lead from the battery on the silver terminal.

Without the listing giving specs, amp handling, no way to tell how it compares to the warrior relay. as far as OEM I find these 2 places have some good pricing

thanks guys finaly ordered oem relay, after fooling around with cheap chinese POS, bad fuses , intermitent stalling since install, should have researched difference in price first time like Curt says you get what you pay for, I didnt even buy the cheap-ass thing because it was cheap, live and learn.....

+1
those on ebay/amazon aren't' even made by Yamaha and have no specs so you never know what the amp rating is.
I bought an oem from Yamaha and it was worth the extra money knowing I got a good part with genuine fuses made in japan instead of china

I do have a favor to ask. If you have one of those cheap ones from ebay and you're buying a new OEM relay, crack open the one from ebay and see if there is a amp rating on the inside relay. I thought about buying one just to crack it open but since you already have one
