Re:Head Fuse Keeps Blowing??? 1 Year ago
I think I will do that tomorrow? It is getting late. Been messing with this all day. I'm about to take it in to a dealer??????
Grrrrrrrrrr
I really don't understand why the fuse started blowing after the new battery and re-installing the starter relay??? The battery I got is supposed to be more cold cranking amps. I got it from the dealer, they said it would work. That couldn't be it? Could it???

Thanks for your help

Open up the tail light and move all the wires around. Then start the bike. If it works, It is a short back there just do further inspection and fix that bare wire that is shorting out to tail light case.
Yes i am serious.

I dont really know ccm, however joes has had racing teams with yami,s and t-baggers (therefor lots of experience with faulty wireing) for 40 yrs, two twin brothers in the back, nothing gets by them, wrenching forever, they figuered out the dreaded roadliner die for me. Always fair, I try to do as much as I can myself but I do get over my head, often.

Nah..the bigger cca's are good...alot of guys here run them, including me.
You say it started right after the new battery install???.... check the positive cable out of it. Could have had a bare spot on your positive cable ( there are alot of bends in it going down thru the frame). Maybe when the battery was installed and the cable being moved around, a bare spot is now touching...just a thought.

If the head fuse wasn't an issue before you removed the starter relay and replaced the battery, I'd recheck those areas.
