Gel battery information 12 Months ago
Battery is being recharged as I type, but it's only a matter of time before it is dead and buried for good. It lasted about six months. It's a 12V 20 Amp battery made in Thailand. Figures ...

1. What's the best gel battery for the R*?
2. Do you know of anyone who will ship?

I can't afford to mess around with something that won't fit in the battery box. International shipping isn't very cheap, and it takes too damn long to get here and not be able to be used.

Any assistance is appreciated!

There are Yuasa batteries available over here. Just have to find places that carry them and/or are willing to order them. Believe it or not, there are places that can order them, but just don't want to deal with it.

Here is what I use http://www.odysseybatteries.com/battery/pc545.htm
and this is the model for the 1600 Roadstar. I paid approx $149 plus our 12% HST 1 1/2 yrs ago but this is an excellent battery...before I changed to flamewires the smaller cables used to draw this battery down whenever it was cold..this battery always charged right back up with the battery tender and still works like a champ today.
They also talk about international shipping...but as I said .....if I can do anything at this end let me know....electrical challenges are my "boogey men" hate them....good luck

Brother Edge, I might send you some PayPal money and let you fire away if I hit a snag. I'll check that out.

I have the MaxAir Flamewires, the Thunderfire starter and the Warrior relay, so all I need is a damn good battery.

Thanks!
