$15 DIY Headlight turn LED's 1 Year ago

I thought I would pass along my new turn signal idea. I chopped of the stock front turn signal bar (HATED IT from day 1) Bought some Flexible amber LED (15 lights) and mounted to the headlight. A little soldering and bang new front end look. Much cleaner imo.
Here's the link to the LED's & pics. Sorry it was hard to time the "on" signal.

Also,
Gonna by another set of 9 LED's & mount as running lights on upper forks.

Looks good. But not DOT approved, if anyone cares. Flashers need to be(don't quote me) around 6" from the side of the headlight

I just attempted the same thing and had some issues with the led's working right. Did you have to put in a load equilzer or anything.

That's the point DOT = boring IMO. If I get a ticket it's 10 min to make it DOT again & a minimal donation to the state.

Ya I will need a load E/Q but the faster flash doesn't bother me at this point.

I saw picks of this before but instead of wrapping them around the headlight he put a band around each fork. Right for blinks for right, left for left.

I think it looks good, but aside from not being dot approved. Can they be seen? I mean what good is looking good if you turn in front of some cager that can't see your turn signal? I would think it would be hard to see them during the day and down right impossible at night.
