bigflip & ColorBlind, that's exactly what I want to do! Where did you guys get the curved plate holder? does it hide all the holes from the factory junk? What do you do with all the wires?

I bundled the wires back where the fender mounts to the frame. The housing, lens, led board and relay came in the package. I needed 100 ohm resistors because one side stayed lite all the time. I have a side mounted license plate.

I made my own, I used 1/4" thick x 1" wide aluminum flat stock from home depot & made my own. It was pretty simple. I did a write up on it here on the forums, do a search & you'll find it. Pretty simple & it hid the other holes used by the oem stuff. The excess wires I just trimmed off before soldering everything together.

If you get the integrated tail light do not, I repeat do not get the one with a smoked lens. It cannot be seen during the day. All my riding buddies complain about it every time I lead the way. I'm going back to the kuryakyn curved blinkers and stock tail light. Much safer.

Just keep in mind, some aftermarket lights are not DOT approved. If your state requires vehicle inspections, you could fail!!
