Yea I took the reflector out. I think I dont like it due to the dark blue. Like you guys are sayin it far the deep of a blue (well past the 6000 pics) it has goten a little less blue but its still very blue. Gunna deal with it till after the Ohio meet and greet.

Yep BLUE sucks! Now if had a tinge of Scarlet...now we're talkin!

now for the down the street shots.

standard low then high

piaa extreme white low then high

hid low then high

these are taken with the lightbar off and camera flash off so they are alittle fuzzy but i wanted you guys to see just the lighting from the headlight. now the piaa and hid looking down the street are pretty close and the hid is a little more pleasant to look at does reach a tad farther on the road but i was expecting alot brighter. again maybe my opinion will change after i get the projector lens on. and the hid is supose to last like 8 times longer than a halogen so thats a plus too.

I think your lens is shooting the light in weird ways with the hid

yea i did, but i dont like it. the light bolts in but for whatever reason the tabs that hold the housing places the top at about 2 o'clock and it made the light kinda funny (at least in the garage) so now im stuck with two housings i cant use

well guys i have to retract my statement about the hid light not being very good (kinda)

when i first put the like on it was a deep blue like you see in the pics but after a few hours of riding of say 10-15hrs it is now stark white like i ordered. so white in fact it makes the piaa extreme white bulbs look yellow so now i need to figure out what to do to make them match. kury has some led lights coming out that are suppose to match the p7 headlight but at $150 that will hurt

That's why I've been debating just taking off my lightbar. Can't find anything that matches that's not more than I'm willing to pay for a bulb.

Are there 4.5" lenses that'll take an h4? If so just replace your spots with more HID's!

you wont have the depth it needs for the h4 hid bulb alone, and thats leaving out the ballest. i thaught about that for a hot second too.

Is there a difference in depth between the regular HID and the Bi-Xenon (hi/low) HID bulbs? Just thinking out loud here without any real experience in it, but it seems if you can fit the bulb then it's just a matter of placing the ballast. How far from the bulb can the ballast be? I ask because I too had thoughts along those lines, and it might be something I'll have to tinker with this winter and see if there isn't a way to make it work. Would be easier with a fairing since you could hide the ballasts there I think.

i would think that the regular hid would be similar to a standard bulb. the ballest has its own wiring and harness built it that just plugs in. i would think if you wanted to you could cut the wires to extend the wires but thats alot of work. i may just sell my lightbar and go back to a stock style blinker only bar. it would be a cleaner look anyhow
