Installed the HID kit today! very easy plug n play. no issues, except that I couldn't use the boot on the back of the lens. No biggie, now waiting for the darkness to see how much better it is.

The 6000K is wicked bright!!

Got my 6000k installed looks blueish white......Weird thing though, If i start the bike on low beam it the bulb won't work I have to restart it, but if I start it on high beam then it works fine....Anyone else have this issue??
HIDs cannot be turned on and off and then back on quickly.
When you turn on the key, the light comes on, then when you start the bike the starter takes more current and drops the voltage across the light which may be low enough to turn off HID. The HID won't come back on. Some are more sensitive to this then others.
My only suggestion is either put an off-on switch in your light circuit to turn off lights while you start or keep doing what your doing by leaving the light on bright when you start.

actually if you put any type of HID in a none HID light bucket, it's illegal in any state
Doesn't matter if it's blue, yellow, gold or white. Just saying...

Yeah 4300 for me too... after my talk with a local M/C cop about FL and the 'blue light' thing. His Harley had a whole lot of blue strobes going on

Just installed mine tonight. 6000K light. What a difference!

The only issue I had is that the package was poorly packed and it was missing one of the connectors on the orange and blue wires. I fashioned my own using some lugs, a crimper, solder and heat shrink tubing.

Easy mod and the difference really is (no pun intended) night and day. Bonus that you can keep your original halogen as a spare and swap it out if necessary.

Once I had a lady in front of me reach down in her car an pull out a HUGE MAKE-UP MIRROR & tried to reflect back at me....didn't work but HOLY CRAP WAS THAT FUNNY![/quote]

Thought of this post this morning on my way to work. Had a truck that was going five below in the left lane, and a line of traffic on my right, so I was riding the white line so I could see past him, then he moves over so I can't see, so I move to the right side, he blocks my sight again. This happens 4 more times until he rolls down his window, reaches to his mirror and tries to move it so my headlight reflects back at me. I think what pissed him off the most was me laughing my ass off at him as I finally got past him. Gotta love stupids.....

I am thinking of snatching up a set but was wondering which bulbs are the brightest? I do a lot of night riding on empty streets.

Re:HID! wayyyyy better 9 Months, 2 Weeks ago
o.k. well i was finally able to do a night time run with my zxe bulb in it worked great.
even some riders with hids thought it was on high when it was on low.
i went with the zxe bulb rather then hid due to the fact that it works with the headlight modulator.

now i did do hid lights on the mazda for the low beam and the driving lights but agian did the zxe for the high beam.
the zxe are whiter brightness is pretty even imho

zxe bulb 1000 lumans low beam 1500 lumans high beam 4200 kalvins
hid 8000 kalvins
