Yeah I read that in the manual about heating the engine up and checking compression at WOT, I just did a quick check to see if there was a noticeable problem. I will recheck when hot. I thought it was a exhaust leak too, but I don't see any soot around the pipe at the head. I removed the pipe and inspected the gasket and it looks fine. I checked the bolts for proper torque when the engine was hot and cold and they were tight. I might be over looking something simple but it still seems like the ignition module is at fault. Have you guys seen the module act up before? The noise is coming out the exhaust pipe at the very end and when you cover the pipe the noise goes away. The forward cylinder exhaust temp is cooler than the rear cylinder exhaust temp.
