I'd like to change the wires as well but don't know if that is possible on the RS. If the plugs were in sight and you wanted a specific color wires that would be reason to change them. On our bikes you can't see the plugs or wires so why change them unless necessary. The OEM wires are built into the coils; so to change the wires you have to change the coils also. Won't give you a HP boost but it will be one less thing that can break down. If I keep the stock coils and wires, should I wrap the wires to cut down on spark loss? IF so with what? Shrink wrap electrical tubing or tape. HAVING SPARK LOSS JUMPING TO FRAME OR BOTTOM OF THE TANK . I TOOK A TIP FROM OUR ASSIE PARTNERS AND RAPPED THE COILS AND PULLED THE RESISTERS. THE RAP I GOT AT LOWES. IT IS HIGH VOLTAGE CABLE RAP. IT'S LIKE REAL THICK ELECTRICAL TAPE ABOUT $6 ROLL AND IT'S THREE TIMES WHAT YOU'LL NEED. YOU RAP IT STICKY SIDE OUT THEN WHEN DONE RAP WITH REGULAR E=TAPE. THE RESISTERS COME OUT WITH FLAT SCREW DRIVER UP INTO THE PLUG BOOT. RESISTER AND SPRING WILL COME OUT (REUSE THE SPRING). LOWES HAS 6 GUAGE "GROUNDING CABLE" $1 PER FOOT YOU NEED 4 ONE INCH PIECES.
