Mine only come on after the bike starts. The headlioght comes on with the key. The passing lamps come on after the bike is running.

if yours is Midnight silverado 07 I would be looking for the white passing lamp plug..you should have a circuit separate for the lamps with its own relay wired to the ignition and your passing lamps should only come on when the engine is running... I suspect your lights are wired incorrectly as were mine from the dealer...

Look for a white connecter unused in the headlamp bucket...

Now this only applies to silverado models 05 and up

between Java and Pop, that should give some different alternatives.
Mine run like Musky's on when the engine is started, they will stay on if you use the kill, but will go off when the key is turned off but not come back on til the engine starts again.
I pretty much leave them on all the time to keep cagers aware.. but will turn them off if I am with a group of bikes during the day..have the 55watts and they are bright.

mine is a 2005 silverado and operates that way...

May I suggest replacing the switch with one you can control with yer thumb

alright, I went and looked at mine last night and it didn't look like anything on the link provided... I'll look and see if I've got the unused connector when I get a chance. If I've got the unused connector, what do I do with it??? Is there another loose connector in there that I just plug it in to?? I guess what I'm needing to know is what is wired wrong?? Is this something I have to cut and tie wires together, or is it just that the plugins are not matched up together like they should be?? Sorry, like i said before, I'm electrically challenged...

just look for a white connector...if it is not there dont worry about it and connect the hot from the passing lamps to the running blue wires or the red/yellow as outlined in the old instructions but if the white plug is there unused then we remove and splice into the wiring..for it

that's what I was afraid you'd say... I was hoping it was just switching plugs... maybe i'll just drive with my brights on...lol

I had the same issue and wanted the same thing. I had my bike in for a few other things and asked the stealer if they could fix it for me. My lamps also have a toggle switch.

Now the passing lamps come on with ignition, which I don't mind. Funny thing is, once in a while, if I hit the toggle switch to turn them on or off, the horn chirps.

Oh well, I never would have figured it out.
