Bike just went dead.. looks like no electrical 4 Years, 11 Months ago
Thanks Guys for the info on the sticky first gear oil change fixed that and runs as smooth as silk.. now for another issue

i tried to start it... ignition key ON.. speed O flicked all the way to the right... then everything went dead... no juice, no lights... just like the cutoff switch was OFF, but it was ON and ignition key was ON. I removed the battery and checked it... its fine, put it back.. same
So now im looking at a dead bike .. almost looks like the cut off switch is broken .. but that sounds a bit too far fetched.

Has anyone experienced the same thing?

thanks,

Andy

The kickstand switch seems to crop up every so often as a culprit. Past that .

Go to the local auto parts and get some DI-ELECTRIC GRASE; go to the local radio shack and get some TUNER CLEANER.Disconnect the ground wire from the battery. At every bolted connection; take it apart clean the surfaces real good; coat the stud, wire terminal, washer, and nut with grease and reassemble. For plug connections spray with cleaner and plug-unplug several times for each one. When the whole bike is dead it is one of the major bolted connections that is loose or corroded and cleaning things up and making a good connection will fix the problem. Coating things with grease will prevent the same thing from happening again. While you are at it clean up the smaller connections too and you will be good to go.
