you'll get it eventually that stuff is very aggravating fresh eyes may help too..keep at it

you may go from the battery to the fuse block and power up everything with a jumper, if that does you know its before that point if not start going wire to wire

to save some money on the shock, put it on a lift or make your own stand, then drop the shock assembly out the bottom like this and take that to a shop with a press and let them change it for you, it'll save a little money and its a good time to flip and lower it

LOL you got more faith in me then i got... lol... I cant even seem to put a light bar on the front of the bike with out screwing something up.. (that something still remains a mystery as of yet)... I do hope to get if figured out here soon.. because it is driving me nuts.. and i want to do some riding... Was thinkin about your idea of the jumper wire and dont think i have to do that... Reason is i have tested with a test light at the main fuse and i have power there... Hmm hope maybe tomorrow can figure something out...

I'd like to remove my shock for spring replacement. Great instructions save for one question.

Step #2 remove rear horn

What is the rear horn?

the rear horn is for honking at those behind you

its on the left side on the frame below the pass. foot rest, you'll see it once you get started, cause its right in the way

If my memory serves me right.. If you look below the left side cover. you will see the rear horn... Right in that area anyway..

I would suggest if you have a fuse blowing get a couple of boxes of fuses for a few bucks. unhook as many connections as possible then turn on the switch and see if the fuse blows, if yes, what were you unable to unhook, if no, hook things up one at a time and check the fuse each time.
Jumping the fuse with a wire is what we call the "smoke test" have a couple sets of eyes watching because you are looking for smoke or fire
Another test is volt meter or that test light across the battery at terminals, nice bright light?
Now turn on the switch, still bright, or good voltage? If not battery may be your problem.
good luck

Re:Helppppppppppppp 5 Months, 1 Week ago
Thanks again for the advice. I will have to check tomorrow to see if any fuses are blown at this time.. There was one before but i replaced that one and dont think there is anymore.. If the battery was that bad i wouldnt think it would start the bike.. when hit the starter it turns it right over just as before. I still dont have a clue but i will mess with it again for awhile tomorrow... I hate electrical problems.. they make no sence to me.. lol

Re:Helppppppppppppp 5 Months ago
Okay happier then a 2 petered puppy at county fair time now.. Got the lights fixed.. Turns out i had a bad fuse that looked good but when tested it checked out bad.. But what still throws me for a loop is.. It was a turn signal fuse. So what i found out is if the turn signal fuse blows you have no lights no gauges nothing?? Never seen anything like that before. anyway found a bad wire on one of the turn signals fixed that and it all works.. Now i can get back to riding. lol Thanks for all the help and advice guys.
