I've seen quite a few mounted in the saddlebags...I don't care for that location, but I haven't scoped out a location for myself (sound is coming soon to my ride)

I drilled the outer lip of mine and threaded a coat hanger wire on both sides of the amp and then cliped it up and under my windshield bag behind the windshield. It was kind of hard to get to as far as pressing the on/off button but it was pretty well hidden and safe from weather as well.

i believe that they sell radios with small amps built in them so you dont have to have additional equipment. Some radio out there have pretty high watt output for the speakers. I have a radio system that I built my self for the bike. I have the speakers that are 6x9 in the saddle bags and 2 small 4in in the front wind shield next to the radio and its pretty loud. hope this helps u out.

That's the same system I had Olskool... I was not happy with it though. I was able to get my money completely refunded even though I had altered the amp by drilling holes in the outer metal of the housing... and I told the man that over the phone, yet they honored their money-back policy.... good folks!

The system was great at low speed but at speeds higher than 45 0r 50 miles per hour it was hard to hear and I had to crank it up so loud it distorted... along a back road at thirty mph - great. I had the speakers mounted to the riser bolts... once I got used to those two big chrome bubbles setting there I thought they looked pretty good... just couldn't hear them.

I am mounting them down on the crash bar...i have a friend with a HD Deluxe...you can hear them with straight pipes...I can hear them on my bike riding behind her...LOL If they don't work on my bike...I'll mount then on my riding mower or fishing boat!!
