That is one issue with my star is it seems to take the hits hard in the front. Now how hard is it to change out the front springs LOL or do I wanna know. You should change the fork oil but, I didn't You DO need something to remove some of the fork oil like a pump or the wifes turkey baster You also need a bike lift too. Be VERY careful putting the caps back on it is VERY easy to crossthread. I think you will be impressed with the improved handling. Mine really feels solid in the curves now. Now about the turkey baster that is an expensive item so not sure I can handle the oil change LOL! Or could be I just dont trust my skills working on my forks. Will do alittle research on step by step instructions and see what I think. I definately want a better ride both front and back but the front takes hits hard. Like Steven said; It's not that hard, but make sure to loosen the pinch bolts in the top triple tree before trying to loosen/remove the caps on the tops of the fork legs..... The pinch bolts put pressure on the threads of the caps making it almost, if not impossible to remove them. I did some minor damage to the cap nut before I finally figured out what was going on.... And from what I can remember (I took the front end completely off to lube the steering stem bearings and to change the fork oil), you may not have to remove the windshield and lightbar (if equipped), but it makes the job a whole lot easier. It actually raised the height of rear suspension. I feel this gives me plenty of travel. Since I haven't tried the progressive and don't plan to since I'm satisfied, I can't compare them. But the 930 is made by Eibach and I know they make great springs. In my mind I figured the 930 across entire travel may give more effective travel than 825 - 1250 across same or less travel length (do to slightly lower heigh).
