And if so, what mods do I need to do? Not worried about a rear fender right now, just the swingarm mods. Those only cover grinding the subframe on the fender, which I don't have, and putting a larger tire on the stock rim, which I do not want to do. AJ I did a lot of research on this because I wanted to do the same... I found that up to a 200 tire on a 5.5 rim there is not much that needs to be done. It depends on the brand of tire you will run. For example: An Avon 200mm tire is not as wide as a Michelin 200mm tire. I know...go figure! The biggest mod that might need to be done is the brake caliper bracket will need to be ground down or possibly changed. Agreed, if you no longer have the fender subframe (I think you just said you don't). You should be able to grind down the brake boss enough to clear the tire. I did some measuring last night and figured with the measurements, everything would fit. By brake boss or brake caliper bracket, you are talking about the mount on the swing arm wear the rear brake attaches, correct? I have a 180 ME880 on a 5.5" rim. I had to grind the brake mount on the frame until it was even with the brake stay. I wave 3 mm max between my tire and the brake stay.
