which lowering method 3 Months, 4 Weeks ago
I want to lower the roadstar, looks like the flip is too low for me. Just looking for an inch or two. I've seen the dogbones and the barons one (whatever they are calling it). Which one is better and if I use the dogbones, will i need a new spring. I'm 175 and wife is 110. Looking for pros and cons.

I'm 170 and I don't know what the wife is but I got the Barons and I had to get a new progressive spring. I was dragging the pipes and the rear of the frame in the corners. Even with the spring I drug so I took it off and sold it as I am an agressive rider in the corners and don't want to drag. Just my 2 cents.

I had the dealer set the shock when I bought it... That gave me an inch and then when me and the misses ride two up... (Well, just my heavy self, for that matter... ) My Star gets pretty low in the corners...
Say, does anybody know where to get "skid plates" for the outside bottom of the mufflers?

Because he had a rack, he just lowered the "preload'... (It's covered in the owners manual... a 32mm nut and lock nut softens the shock)
If yuo have a MC jack it's not too difficult...
There's also and adjustment you can make to the front shocks too... That will give you another half inch on the front... Only trouble is, someone else will have to take over to give a "How to" on that...
