very true, but I would pay 100-150 bucks for the shiny chrome plated and rubber padded version versus my hack of a weld job haha

Think what you want, but after investing thousands and thousands into a bike that simply lowers in value, I don't see the point in spending $280 just so my girlfriends feet don't vibrate Besides, some of the best modifications are hand made, and save hundreds easily.
I may take my rear pegs to a shop and draft up some drawings to see what they can make for under 100.

Yeah but you do great work Billjr. Hint (for billjr) you could look at making a new peg bracket that just lowers pegs and then hook me up LOL!!
Also as far as floorboards look on ebay. They have several sets of the brushed star boards with mounts for under $200.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=011&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=320267880344&rd=1
Also look for the Kuryakyn Iso Boards ($175 or so) and all you will need is to buy the adapter for your Roadstar ($22) and your around $200 and they nice and shiney chrome.
Or look at the Kuryakyn miniboards for under $100.

Looks good bill. I am looking at getting her floorboards and quit being such a tight*** but hey I want my exhaust first LOL!! Also need to switch out springs to progressive.
Would it be hard to make a bracket to replace the stock bracket and lower the pegs?? I just dont have the tools on hand that I have said for years I need to get but have not. And now I am busy spending $$$ on bike so the tools are on hold LOL!!
I need to make a backrest for me since I got screwed on the one I bought from ebay that ended up pushing me to far forward. Might copy this design for the back rest bracket...
