Dang! My wife would pay $280 so her feet would, once in a while...

Atleast 2 or 3 inches but the wife would prefer the floorboards over pegs LOL since she is sitting here for input now LOL! I just need to see where I come out on my exhaust cost in the next few days since I think I am gonna take the plung on a set but just not sure which ones yet as ussual. Thought lowering pegs would get me by for a bit but evidently not LOL!

Input is always welcome!! The backrest looks like it bolts to the fender mount and seems pretty straight forward. I have friends with the means and no how but it is just hard setting up time with them to get things moving. I really wish I had the tools on hand. I know a powder coater would have been nice since the spray paint I used on the floorboards brackets scrapped right off when I put them on LOL!!

The meeting sounds like a good idea and would be a nice road trip. I am heading to a bike rally tomorrow in a neighboring town ( their first attempt ) that is set up by across the boarder raid. Then next weekend will be heading up to winterset iowa for Hawgstock ...

Here is another pic of the backrest.........

Think what you want, but after investing thousands and thousands into a bike that simply lowers in value, I don't see the point in spending $280 just so my girlfriends feet don't vibrate

So what is your girlfriend worth?

Oh my gf is a poor college student, she's just happy she gets to ride I'm going to look around, thank you for the links. I may end up buying something under 200, but no way am I going to give Yamaha the money they are asking just for passenger floorboards.

Also the only people who notice most aftermarket parts are other riders, I've learned the average joe just goes WOW NICE BIKE even if its straight stock

FYI, I wasn't saying anything at all about making parts or others abilities....I am just stating that if I was to do it, it would look like crap, and therefore I would spend a few bucks to make it look nicer than I could do it.

I am all about fab work, and I do quite a bit, but I can't chrome and I can't laser cut, so i go to those that can.
