#110180 slyguy (User) Platinum Boarder Posts: 1158 Paint 3 Months ago   Hi, I was considering turning the roadie into a dresser with a woc fairing, hard bags and a trunk and getting a new paint job. I got an estimate of $3950 to do all of that from a quality painter online. It was a three tone paint job (two candy colors separated with a silver stripe). Does this sound right? Kandy is expensive and difficult to do properly. When I did mine I had to 'learn' how to do it correctly so that it came out evenly. If the stripping is done with a brush, that also increases the cost. I had mine quoted from two different painters in the Toronto area, they wanted 2500 for tank and fenders. I kept looking and found a local guy who painted hockey masks, had done helmets for several NHL goalies. He had done a few motorcycles. He did the tank, fenders, side covers and hard bags for 1000. He did a great job.
