hub caps on cast wheels 2 Months, 3 Weeks ago
I have an 05 and would love to cover up the ugly center part of the wheels with a hub cap of some type. Will the one from the wire wheels work? Or?

I just ordered one from Yami for my Roadie that goes on a VSTAR. They are the same size, around $45.00. You can also get a heavier duty one that goes on a Roadliner, but those are $115. Have not got them yet but excited to cover up that ugly hub area. They are brushed aluminum. My wheels are chrome, so I am going to polish the bejesus out of them and make em look as close to chrome as I can.

This looks interesting on Ebay:

The link is too long - messes up this post badly. You can go to Ebay, put 110281917329 in the search window and you'll find it.

Like a ring of fire for a Goldwing, with out the fire

Like it better with the fire. No fire version?

Do they work on the wagon wheels also or just the spokes?

Thats what I was thinking is they would fit. I might just do that myself.
Love the wagon wheel comment, never heard that but it describes my wheels perfectly!

I knew if I was patient someone would come up with the answer. I'm thinking a lot of youa re like me....there are parts of the Roadie that are getting worn out from me taking them on and off trying different things!

Just a heads up, be prepared to change out your rotor bolts. Yami has a love affair with locktight, the bolts are soft and strip out easily. After cussing my wheels and myself for expermenting it took a small pipewrench to get all the bolts out. Use an impact driver also helps, but be carfull with the impact driver, remember your wheels are cast aluminum and cast anything doesn't like impacts.......I replaced my bolts with plain old stainless steel bolts.....and I used locktight also......by the way if you order new pieplates they will run you around 80+ a peice, check e-bay, I got mine $20+shipping for both! Good luck!
