To me the faring made the bike handle better especially in mountain riding I believe its because of the weight being added to the top off the bike. I love mine

Wide open custom fairing. Great for the price. Half of most the others cost and looks pretty good. As for handling, I think it actually made mine handle a little more sluggish, but it does improve the ride quality on the highway.

I got my Tsukayu fairing mounted up about 2 weeks ago and LOVE it!! I don't notice much handling difference, but it sure cuts the wind down...(and i love the stereo. Thank you hardone2get!!!!)The only problem i had was mounting my fairing... I ended up having a machinist make some brackets so I could attach it to my stock windshield mounts. I also got some Bucks lowers and added those on this past week... What a great setup!!! I'm ready for a road-trip!

Bruzer-

I have a Hoppe fairing. No complaints from me ... well made, good customer service when I called around to enquire and when adding rear speakers, very easy to mount. I noticed some slight handling difference, but not excessive. All-in-all I'm very satisfied. I'm glad I did it.

Mine is an Old Harley Aftermarket Fairing I made Brackets to fit My windshield mount I love it for Long trips and can remove it for around town for that wind in the face blast. Lowers are also a plus to cut the buffeting.

The Wide Open Custom is probably the best buy for a new bolt on fairing. The Dead Center, and Hoppe are more expensive, but excellent fairings. All these will bolt onto your windshield brackets, and easy to take off when you want to clean that headlight. The HD batwing is also a great way to go, a little more work to install, and not easy to take off, but a lot of after market accessories to fit it. Here's a link where you can check out several other fairings also, just scroll down the page a little ways.
