Specs needed for (potential) springer conversion 3 Years, 4 Months ago

Gentlemen, I am currently looking at the viability of putting a stock-length springer front end on my 99 R*. To avoid removing my own stock front end to measure such things as headstem diameter and length, does anybody have ready access to this info. If it's a bad idea and requires just too much fart-arsing around to do successfully, i'd like to find out with a minimum of fuss.
