Plugging fender holes? 1 Month, 2 Weeks ago
|
|

I am installing a laydown plate holder (generic) and I am ending up with some large holes under it where the stock wiring came through. Anyone have any experience plugging these or making them go away without welding them up? I would like to do it without having to paint.
Thanks

Thanks for the comeback. I had came across that thread yesterday while searching but it seems they are talking about the holes in the top of the fender. The ones under the tag mount are a LOT bigger and oval shaped. I'm sure someone on here has come up with something. I just hope they stumble across this thread.
Thanks for the welcome.

I changed to a laydown plate with integrated lights. I took the fender to a body shop, and had them fill in the holes. I was planning the paint job at the same time, so having the filler was not a problem. Not sure how you would do it without having to paint at all.

Good luck is all I can say! I really don't think your going to be able to hide those holes without welding them shut and repainting. A body shop if you can't do it yourself should be able to do for about $200-250.00 finished and painted.

P.S. If you want to fill the holes on another fender so you don't mess yours up I have one I'll sell you!

You could always try these:
Fender Hole Plugs
They're fairly large, actually. I used them when I took the rear passenger pillion off.
