I'm going for a ride this morning but I'll try to put some pics of the mount up later.

Remember the reason for the holiday.

Here are some pics of the mounts. It's hard to see, but it may help you figure out what you want to do.

No. I messed up when I said it was an 017 fairing. It actually is a 2330-0016 fairing, for a Softail HD. I hope I didn't mess anyone up.

I see on the MS site it shows the 0017 for the V-Stars which is what Road Kings and Soft tails also use. Why did you go with or who recommended the 0016?

I believe Shane recommended to go with the 0016. I see that MS has the 0017 listed as the fairing for our R*. Shane said there was some slight difference in the headlight area. Personally, I can't see how it could fit better than it does on my bike.

nobull

Thank you for the kind words. The fairing does stick out past the headlight further than Paul's. It may be as Paul said and just that he made his mounts and I used that MS mounts. They were already on the bike and I don't have the fabricating ability that some do so I went the easy way. I think it may also possibly be a difference in the models of the fairing. Either way I think they both look very good. Paul's bike is the reason I went with the MS fairing to begin with. I liked the looks of his and the price is great also. If Shane hadn't put the new list out I would have bought the one that Paul has.

I guess that depends on what you are talking spending. The HD fairing works well but takes some modification with brackets to it make fit. Also are you talking only the HD outer fairing or are you looking to use an inner fairing with a stereo also? The more details on what you are looking at will allow us to help answer that question.

Seriously considering the Tsukayu fairing but have a problem dishing out that much when there might be an alternative might as well go full bore with stereo and all if i take the plunge i do have a MS Fats shield on there now so do have some mounting hardware in place hope the pics attach themselves just curious what else i need for this fairing
