I'm running HD chrome lowers, not sure how much they were neccessary, but I love the look. The 5" shield doesn't do much for shielding you above the chest. I'm running a 12" HD shield now. I drilled new holes in it and it works great (cheaper than MS shield too). The 5" shield left my full face helmet buffing really bad although my skid lid didn't buff as much. I still have my stock Silverado shield in the shop, but I doubt I will ever put it on again, that's how much I like this fairing. You'll have to paint it, black is the only color available. It is too small for me. I like to get the HD 12" but what to I ask for?
