front wheel 2 Years, 7 Months ago
hello,
I'm not sure if this is the right section but i will give it a shot.

I am looking at buying a new front rim (can't stand cleaning the spokes).
So my question is what is the biggest front rim i can go with and what size tire should i run?

I have all stock front end and don't want to cut fender or anything like that.

I have seen that a 21inch will fit but does anyone have a 21 that can give advise from having this done?

Is this going to drastically change the feel of the ride or will it be alright after awile?

thanks in advance,
chris

I have no personal experience but I have seen a few 21" wheels on the front end and some were done using the stock fender.

It will look a bit odd with the stock fender as a 21" tire has a narrow profile so the fender looks too wide.

I believe the 21" will also raise the front end a bit.

Hopefully someone with more experience will drop in.

if your going to put a 21" on the front I would sugest going with an after market front fender May be a fiberglass one that hasn't been drilled. you can find them at swap meets or online I got a fiberglass front fender for mine and it cost me $10. You would have to modify the stock one to use it with a 21" and it would look funny. you might also lower the front forks to even the ride height if is a concern
