What you need to do is what I did and you won't scrape any more!

First, I would still go with a new spring, but I'd go with the progressive.

Second, I slotted the holes in the mounting bracket for the pipes so I could cheat a little on the positioning. If you push them all the way up (stock bracket) they are approximately level, but when you sit on the bike they lower and give you less clearance.

With the slotted bracket holes, you can push the pipes up a little, so when you sit on the bike they are now level.

Haven't scraped since!
