Looking for the rear chrome hand grip.. 2 Years, 8 Months ago
I am about to start modifying a bike I am going to buy. I am looking for the hand grip that fits on the back of the bike. Its the same one on firemans bike...

I know I've read somewhere , about this particular item, but can't seem to find the article. I would appreciate any help.

That is a Landon Grab Bar. I don't know if he is going to ever make them again. Put your request on all the forums and maybe someone will want to part with their used one.

Good luck, Paul

Ironman is supposed to be making some. I sent him my shorty sissy bar to use for the base pieces. I haven't heard anything from him in a while thou. Might have run into a snag? Check the other thread "Can't find this Grab Rail"

I'm working on making them from my original Landon grab bar. I just need to get the cash together and find a good chromer.
If you guys have someone who can chrome for you I could sell them bare metal.

Machinist wants $350.00 for the bolt on parts (cutting me a deal cause he's a friend) My shop can do the welding (got a fixture already made) Tubing and bending I'm waiting on a bender but, I could just heat and bend them. The cheapest chromer wants $1200 to chrome 10 or $1700 for 20 I told him to jump in a lake.

With my shop labor and costs the bars would be about $175 each.
