Re:HANDLING 2 Years, 3 Months ago
I have used the tall windshield, short windshield and the fairing. The only time I've had any real issues was when the tire was under inflated and I didn't notice it or I had a Dunlop on the front end. I had some real stability issues with the front end. I even went to the point of removing the fairing and having the "stealer" check the bearings on the front end. No issue was noted, however, the tire was worn and needed replacement soon. I told them to replace it with a Bridgestone and all got better immediately. So.....my advice is to check your tires for proper inflation and wear first.
I purchased a set of Bucks lowers a long time ago and that helps with buffeting behind the windshield for sure....and you can crank the bars around if you have some crash bars. Some folks have purchased the Harley stainless lowers and profess that those work equally well but need slight modification if i recall correctly.
