I am going to install a Pacific Coast Star rear lowering kit with the progressive spring.  What can I expect out of the ride and how will it handle? |

I went with the PCS progressive spring and it improved my ride, especially 2 up! It was well worth the money. I can't speak for the lowering kit.

I put on both and am quite happy....however, riding two up you do grind frame. My wife doesnt ride that often with me (but she hates it grinding) so I ended up putting Barons adjustable lowering dogbones on so I can crank it up and down. I'm 235 and wife about 130. Noticeable difference with the spring compared to stock. By the way don't crank it all the way for the biggest load, back off a bit and you will be happier with the ride.

I did their lowering kit and progressive spring also. The stance was awesome and the ride was very firm (but not teeth shattering stiff).
The main thing was adjusting the turn angles to avoid scraping my bags, frame, and exhaust. |

Freight and all $170.22. I put it in last night and I think it is the best money I have spent. The bike looks great except for the Saddle Man Bags (too small). I have made a deal on a set of Road King bags and hope to have them on in the next week.

Flashback, It looked like 2-1/2 to 3 inches last night . I will measure it today when I get home and test drive it. I hope it handles as good as it looks |

 I need help, all I did was replace the dog bones and rear spring. when riding solo i have a belt chirp when I let off the throttle.  Riding 2 up it maked a hell of a noise when I let off the throttle. It seams to get worse as it heats up and if i engage the clutch it goes away. Any ideas? I added some preload to the spring and that seems to help. |

From previous threads I've read, I believe the issue is that the belt needs to be tightened. Lowering the bike changes the belt tension.
