a crack on the frame shock damper mount! 1 Year, 10 Months ago
Yesterday my mechanic called me in the middle of the rear shock replacement. He told me that the shock damper mount on the frame was cracked.
here is where the crack was:

a friend of mine welded that piece, so now it should be ok...
anyone had that problem too?

mine is not completely brocken, but the cracks were almost there... does a good welding help with this? is there anyone who can tell me how this has been fixed?

Jst wondering,does rear tire/rear shock/rear fender etc have to be removed to weld/repair a cracked rear shock mount?

=======================

Great suggestion to add some additonal support to area that cracked if there's room to do so which would likely stop or at least greatly reduce the chance of it happening a 2nd time.
