You could go to hardware and get a couple good 6 or 8 grade bolts to fit your risers to get you going and not have to buy new risers. Just bring the old bolt and get the correct length. Stainless would be best but not necessary.

Sweet, I would really like to keep the stock bars and risers for a little while. Don't see any way around the brake line thing, and headlight issue though.

Yeah, I love the look of the front-end all cleaned up and streamlined like this.

I'm missing something. Got the Riser apart, but the bolt/stud that bolts to the triple tree doesn't appear to come out. Looks like its one piece. How do you get it out? Really want to ride today.

After talking to everyone and their brother at Baron's and many many phone calls to Yamaha, I am still where I started. I even looked at the o.e. front end (thanks Rich) and there's just no way to mount the stock headlight to the Barons triple tree. I've bought the stock Roadstar (non-silverado) Headlight bracket and it won't work either.

So three hours and a tap and die set later, I have the highway light bar mounted to the Barons tree, and therein have the lower bracket for the Headlight to mount to. I was really liking the way it looked with all that crap off of it, just the Headlight and trees, but until I can fab up a bracket, this will have to work.

Monday House of Hose is going to make me some stainless brake lines for the time being and the risers will be here. Can't wait to ride her again.

Looks like without the light bar, the headlight only mounts to the single bracket (two holes in the bottom mount to the lower tree). Adding any more parts/lights up front will most likely require a bit of fabrication. I actually prefer the cleaner look. And, VA doesn't require turn signals, so...

Hope I was able to help ya. Can't wait to see it when you're done...

Pics today. Still not completely finished, but you can see the project unfolding.
I'm going to call LD Monday for their HD axle kit. And already bought The Ultimate Seat from Terry here on the board. Then it's off to paint. Should be just about where I want it when the temperature drops below 100* and its good riding weather. Have a trip planned at the end of October from here (Vegas) to Kallispell Montana by way of Yellowstone. Then down through Denver, and back home. 10 days, no wife, no kids, just me. I love my 4 girls, but I'm counting down the days.

This is the stock headlight bracket I was talking about. The two top holes allow you to mount the top two headlight bolts, however this bracket doesn't support the bottom hole. That is supported by the light bar.

This is the bottom of the Riser. I couldn't get these studs out:

I might have put a little rubber bumper bolt in that bottom hole.

Looking good, man.
