I have 12's on mine, but I recommend the 14's. Mine are good for the look, but not as comfy as the higher bars.

I love the look of apes. wonder how I would like it. Very tempting but I do a lot of road trips and right now my stock set up is perfect.

Question for anyone. What do you think? Is it stupid to mess with a good thing?

Question for Lee. Can you explain how going higher would be more comfortable?

I have a stock harley handelbar on mine they are about 7inches tall fit me great i was told they came off a roadking. A friend of mine put 10 inch apes on his and told me he thought it was the highest you could go without having to modify the cables or wiring. The brake fluid line is one of the first to get affected in a stretch.

your absolutley correct! My 10's where a bolt on. stretched the brake hose to the limit but every thing else bolted right up. Looks like i could have gotten a few more inches with the throttle and clutch cables if i rerouted them but luckily i didnt need to. Im perfectly happy with the baby apes. They are very comfortable and still show a bit of attitude.
