Starting the rebuild... 1 Year, 3 Months ago
Now that I have some parts on the way, i started the breakdown of the Roadie today for the bagger rebuild to start.
Looking forward to posting pics and getting input from everyone here along the way.

Progress so far...

what all are you doing as far as the grips go my grips have are rubber inside and the chrome is more of a cover for it. slide the grips off the bars (if you can) and you should be able to pull the rubber tube out.

Off the top of my head list:
TJD fender and bags (4" stretched & 2" wider)
new air intake
highway bars
new handlebars (still debating on apes or no apes)
new paint all around
LOUD train horns

I think that's all the major stuff

Cant wait to get it to the finished product

Then today, decided to cut up the exhaust to fit with the bags...

Before cutting with bag on:

After cutting the exhaust with new tips turned down & out a little.
Took the heat shields off and going to ceramic coat black then wrap in heat wrap.

we're getting there!

I wasnt sure if it was made for the r* when i got it, but it looks like it's more suited for the Harley softails.

this one is from TJD, I think the one that Baddad makes is actually made to fit the r* (at least it looks more like it from pictures on their site)

I'll be giving Baddad a call on Monday to ask some questions and if so, I'll get theirs and sell this one that I got.
It looks on their site like it's made to fit the r* cause the sides of the fender come down to cover the bolt holes where the stock fender mounts at

You have any thoughts or ideas for it?
