hey Goodnamesaretook, i seen that you had the long shots or something resembling them. is there no way to make them fit in there??? i seen a fatboy Baddad had done with longshots. and they ended up extending them all the way out the back to the edge of the fender. it looked awesome. but looking at your pics, it appeared that they would have worked without cutting the exhaust. i have the baddad fender already and a new fiberglass front fender. i just need to get the bags. but if you put heat tape or padding on the bags, wouldn't ya be able to leave the pipes alone???
Yes, you're right. I did have
Bub's Big willy pipes on there.

It took me a while to decide what I wanted to do with the exhaust.
I considered coming out the back of the bike and having the cutouts in the fender and bags, but then I would have 100% gone with something like the Freedom true duals out the back.
After much debating, I decided that I wasn't up for spending the $800 for a new set of pipes AND THEN also having to fan up an extension for them so they would be long enough to come out the back.
So this is the solution I went with.
Like I said, going to ceramic coat them black and then wrap with heat wrap.
To me, I'll still feel like I got a new set of pipes for only $150 (coating and heat wrap) as opposed to $800+
Plus...the black, heat wrapped look is going to fit nicely with the flat black & grey paint theme I'll be going with.
Pro: I'm looking forward to hearing what these will sound like. I had cones and no baffles in the long pipes and they were LOUD as hell. I can only imagine what they will sound like shorter!
Con: I'll have to switch the bike into N and turn it off when rolling past a cop.
