Roadwing Rear Shock Conversion 11 Months, 1 Week ago  
Has anybody completed their shock conversion to the GL1800 yet? Anxious to get other riders impressions. I thonk its the bee's knee's of affordable suspension upgrades!! Andnot having to lay on the ground to set the preload!! I mean WTH?? Who's bright idea was THAT? Lol. Let me know!!

I tried to buy one on fleabay but I guess the word is out, the prices were jacked
I gave up and bought a spring for my stocker

I noticed that very same thing on ebay. I ordered the progressive spring as well.

My brother got the relays built now we are waiting on the switches to get here. Then we can do both bikes

Not yet, I got the shock but no time right now. I'm anxious too!

Yes I have done it. I have the same shock on an 1100 Shadow I build back in 04. Hated teh stock shock on my roadie but now love riding it. It handles like a much lighter nimble bike. You can see some pictures here...

The thing about the progressive spring is, you are still stuck with laying under your bike to set the preload. This is idiotic to me. Going backwards. Seems my CB750 has more features than some of todays bikes! haha Centerstand, easily adjustable shocks, full tool kit, kick start, etc etc..
