what is the torque on new pipe flanges to engine got new ones coming

In the tech article it says 3-4 ft lbs.

Of course, be especially aware to tighten the header flange nuts SPARINGLY. 3 or 4 ft-lbs of torque should be enough.



I would never question Curts advice. I may be misunderstanding the article.

Sorry the 11 ft lbs is for the stud in the jug 14 ft lbs is for the flange nut and that is from the service manual.
