Yes ... you better work it out before you start cutting anything. Sorry but I can't help with the springer.

I know for mine I did as you just did .... I bought the raked trees without considering the implications. Only after I put them on did I find out Then went and did my homework and solved my problem.

I would have liked to rake the neck 6 but it's too much of a hassle getting it registered and covered. Probably not covered anyways with the raked trees.

Re:Rake the neck? 7 Months, 1 Week ago
It's been proven that the bike is ridable with stock legs and 8 degrees in the neck. Gram has done it, so I can do this safely.
My numbers are this:
8 degrees in the neck will give me about 8.5in of trail, which will make it unstable at low speeds. But I've just learned that I have 3 degree trees. This will knock my trail down to about 6.5in. And lastly it IS a springer so the rocker pulls it in a little further, putting my rake about 5in. So if everything pans out with that's what I'll have. Roadstars come stock with around 5in of trail.

The only trouble is I can't be EXACT in these measurements without having the parts on the bike and measuring the good ole fashioned way, because it's a springer. This has been my curse. The only fact I DO know is right now in the neck, considering the trees, more would be better than less rake.
