Re:Front tire/rim removal for a new tire 7 Months, 1 Week ago
wow.. taking off my front tire was WAY easier than I expected.
1 lock screw, and 1 big bolt and that was it.

I did get caught at the service shop though, the guy pointed out that I left my bushings (is that the right word ?) in both sides of my tire, where my rotors are attached.

I put my long axel/bolt and bushings into a zip-lock bag to keep them from dirt and dust... Will I need to re-grease these before putting them back in ? Any particular grease I would want ?

Thanks,
Mirski57

A lot depends on the condition of the bearings, milage on the bike, As a general rule, I will usually clean, inspect and re-grease bearings when I have access to them regardless of the maintainence schedule.IMHO..

Different greases are not compatible so unless you're going to clean out all the old grease just use the one recommended in the service manual for that application.
