Alright you can do it without a helper but what else are you going to do with that expert at everything that keeps talking while you try to get something done, it would have been done in less than an hour without all the advice. Having them hold the rear wheel in position for a few minutes allowed for a little peace and quite. Any more that two hours and the beer would have caused all kinds of meaningless discussions. Also was able to have bike higher off the ground, a little easier to get at things, just have a jack not a work table.

I put in an adjustable dogbone for the exact reason of 2 up etc...I put in a progressive spring with the PCS version and had the same issues BUT....There is a way to make your own adjustable dogbones using heim joints, threaded SS rod, and a
turnbuckle ...I have about 3k on mine with no problems and can raise and lower very easily...( need to measure to make sure you have equal length).....
in the picture of the bones there is the stock one that is silver, the pcs that is black, and my prototype
