Aftermarket bolt on mufflers 2 Months, 1 Week ago  
This has probably been posted somewhere but I am wondering if I were to put on a set of aftermarket mufflers, Cobra Slip Ons, on my stock 02 roadie would I need to rejet the carb???

Not if the airbox is stock.

My bike had the Cobra Slip-ons when I bought it. Couldn't wait to get rid of them. Popped like crazy (even after the AIS was removed) and sounded real harsh.

My advice is don't do it. Put down the slip-ons and slowly back away. When at a reasonable distance, turn around and run as fast as you can.

Totally agree... the Cobra slip-ons are a most unsatisfactory set of pipes. They are way too loud and obnoxious, and the sound isn't even a good one!

Yes, the cobras were way too loud, probably because they are fairly short. Ditched mine right away. They do though sound great on VStar 1100's!

I would like to thank you gentlemen for helping me make up my mind, I do not intend to use this mufflers and I am running away as fast as I can!!!
