Kuryakyn Grips adjusting the throttle? 1 Month, 2 Weeks ago
Hi I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a way to adjust your throttle or anything on a Roady 2007? I recently bought some new ISO flamed grips. I installed them as they showed but after I installed the throttle side I noticed that the flames are facing out rather than up for people to see. I messed around with it and I cannot figure anyway to adjust the grip so that the flames face the right way. Does anyone have any advice for me? I was hoping maybe someone had the same grips or somthing simular that figured something out they could pass on to me. I really appreciate any help you could give. Thanks

The sleeve for the throttle has a fixed position, the cable attachment limits the location of the sleeve. With that in mind you have to consider the position of the grip when you install it. On the left nothing moves so it has to be installed right. Depending on the glue you used and how much you used, the grip may come off easily or it may not. If you used the glue they gave you and you used lots of it, you will probably destroy things trying to get them apart.

Good luck, Clifford

I have a set of Kuryakyn Grips but they are not the Flame ones but I had to adjust the throttle one at the carb had to take the pull cable all the way down to get it adjusted with the throttle boss on it try that don't know if you will get it far enought.

The throttle side pattern orientation is pretty much fixed and you match the left side with the throttle side pattern orientation...I think the designers ment the view to be from the front..
