Re:Fairing Question 3 Weeks, 2 Days ago
I have the WOC and recently got it mounted up. It fit up on the stock windsheild mounts with very little effort.
It could be my imagination but the bike seems to move through the air a lot easire than with the windsheild on it.
I still get some buffeting but I have not put my lowers back on yet. It is a lot less than with the windsheild for sure.
I was gonna try and see if the adjustable air vents would mount on it.
IMHO for me the WOC was a good buy for the money and the effort.

Thanks for the pictures, just so I am clear, you can leave the headlight alone & the fairing slips over it? Is there room for my baron's tach with stock risers? Also I have a Memphis Shades windshield,do you know if the mount would work?

Hey Hurricane
Yes, you leave headlight alone, and fairing slips over it.
Fairing will not work with Memphis Shades windshield brackets. I had to replace mine with stock Yami windshield brackets.
Not entirely sure about the risers, but have seen them on others with WOC fairing. Do a search on the Ultra Star forum, and I'll also see what I can find out, when I get off work tonight.

My wompus rack came today. I also stopped by the body shop to check on the fairing. He said he would have to me monday or tuesday. I also ordered the Dragon Fly Speaker pods with Kenwood speakers today. So... all of my componets should be in my hands and ready to go by the end of next week. I am getting close!

Hey Hurricane
Here is a link to a thread over at the Ultra Star forum.
Click on Caps attachments to see pix of tach. Cap has pull back risers like mine, but it'll give you an idea of fitment.

Thanks CoachDan, Can you install risers using the stock cables? Or do you have to reroute or change stuff?

An extra 2" up, and 1 1/2" back will fit with out having to get new cables. I just rerouted my front brake Master Cylinder line behind forks for a little more room, but did not have to. The risers made it a lot more comfortable, no more leaning forward.
